Representative-As the National General Secretary of Rashtriya Issai Mahasangh, I Mr Rajan Nair wish to put forth my opinion and clarification on Honourable PM Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the Sacred Heart Church at Delhi on Easter Sunday.
No doubt we thank and welcome Mr. Narendra Modi to the church and are grateful for his visit in his capacity as the Prime Minister of the country.
However, we also recognise that these are mere tactics to gather a vote bank for elections while majority of the Christian persecution issues are blatantly ignored and perpetrated by his political party. The saffron government has always spread hatred for Christians throughout the country and that’s why the PMs visit is nothing to celebrate. We condemn his indifference towards the Christian community and only hope and pray that the saffron party would change their agenda of hate towards Christians and genuinely work for the welfare instead of fishing for votes. Ya that’s very true on one side they are changing constitution and rights of Christian for vote but for this last chance he want to encash .
